I created this artwork as part of Kublai’s mentoring program, which taught us how to recognize our true selves. LGBT people continue to face real discrimination in all areas of life. The struggle of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people for equal rights has moved to center stage. Well-known figures are discussing their sexual orientation in public. Love comes in all forms. It would be wrong to say that a person cannot marry someone just because they are not from the opposite sex. The world is evolving more than ever and we need to keep up with times. That one day, we won’t need to come out of the closet; we’ll just say we’re in love because that’s all that will matter. Love is genderless and love is never wrong.
