Ga’ah, a Hebrew word which literally means risen or resurrection. Through this piece it gives visual representation of one of the most sacred events for Christians-believers of Christ, the son of God. This painting tries to tell that the resurrection of Jesus Christ establishes his status as God’s Son. If Jesus stayed in the dead, His unique statements about Himself would be meaningless. He’d be like the millions who came before Him and the millions who came after Him. However, Jesus Christ did rise from the dead, demonstrating His unique status as God’s Son. Also, it expresses the concept of the resurrection of Jesus Christ that means that God the Father will give His Holy Spirit to believers. Following Christ’s ascension and resurrection, the promised Holy Spirit was sent to continue His mission on earth. This signifies that Christ’s earthly ministry continues today through the Holy Spirit’s presence in His followers. This also means that Christ will work through the Spirit to empower, convict, and guide His people into the life that God desires.
Lastly, this painting tries to portrait the resurrection of Jesus Christ who gives Christians a living hope. Being forgiven of sin and justified before God gives Christians tremendous hope. Christians are changed from being an enemy of God bound for hell, to a forgiven child of God with an eternal inheritance in heaven that can never be taken away unless he will not repent or would rather love the world over Him.
