People of varying cultures, religious beliefs and social status, living peace and harmony is a perfect example of “Unity in Diversity”. my work portrays the exact sense of words, in the Philippines, a stork riding on the horn of a water buffalo grazing in a field with water is a symbolic sight where one can see the buffalo’s calm acceptance of the storks gesture to his own resting place regardless of their different forms, abilities and strengths. Just like them it is essential for people to learn to be tolerant of diversity. Mixing with those that are different from us means we get a sense of connection with them. We learn more about the world and ourselves in the process, which help us grow intellectually and spiritually and being open minded towards the lifestyle and beliefs of others has a major role to play in making the world a happier place.
