Description:

Mananagat is a Bisayan word for fisherman. Fishermen, as Jesus likened to his apostles where they are expected to reach various cities and preach people at all times with their utmost effort, is then, a very noble profession. The artist considers them as our daily heroes. We depended much on our white meat daily consumption from them. Navigating at sunrise and return at sunset, hauling tons of fish and shellfishes. Even risking their lives at the face of storms and hurricanes just to feed their respective families and the society as a whole.

It is on this avenue that we can honor them and somehow thanked them for all their hard works and struggles. With great pride, let’s support programs that can empower each fisherman and help them in a more developing fishing industry. In this way we can alleviate future food shortages potential.
