ARTIST STATEMENT
A painting inspired from a short story in Cebuano titled Tsuru written by Macario Tiu.
This painting shows the memory of a Filipino child about her Japanese friend who became her playmate during war. A collection of the emotions that they both share to ease the fear by making paper cranes. A memory that will stay even after the other person has departed in this life.
