ARTIST’S STATEMENT
My recent visit to Lake Sebu allowed me to immerse myself in the living traditions of the T’boli tribe. I learned of their efforts and struggles in preserving their culture and heritage. It was a light bulb experience for me. It inspired me to follow a path that I have never trodden before. It moved me to start advocacy. I hope to be instrumental in telling the world about T’boli and other Philippine tribes, and consequently, help them in their livelihood.
