JOHN PAUL ALAVE

A COTABATEÑO ARTIST BORN ON SEPTEMBER 2, 1979 IN KIDAPAWAN CITY, NORTH COTABATO, INLUENCE BY STYLE OF NORBERTO ”BERT” MONTERONA.

AT YOUNG AGE HE JOINED BOTH LOCAL AND NATIONAL COMPETITION. HE BECAME ONE OF THE FINALIST OF ART ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES (AAP) (1998), SEMI-FINALIST METROBANK ART COMPETITION (2004), PHILIP MORRIS (1999).

HE IS CURRENTLY WORKING AT MUSEYO KUTAWATO A HISTORICAL MUSEUM AT THE PROVINCE OF NORTH COTABATO AS MUSEUM TECHNICIAN.

HE IS ALSO PART OF THE CURATORIL TEAM THAT INVOLVED IN EXHIBITIONS, SINCE APRIL 2018 TO PRESENT THE TEAM CURATED THREE EXHIBITIONS, THE LATEST WAS ENTITLED KUTAWATO-VISUAL ARTIST PRESENTATION ON THE GENESIS OF KUTAWATO- THE OLD FORT OF STONE FROM WHERE THE NAME COTABATO WAS DERIVED. HE IS THE PRESIDENT OF KUTAWATO VISUAL ARTIST GUILD (KVAG) AND IRINUGYUN ARTIST GUILD. A MEMBER OF AAP (1998) AND MINDANAO ALTERNATIVE CENTER FOR VISUAL ARTS ((MACVA).
